Day 1 Muscat – Nakhl – Bilad Sait – Jebel Shams

After breakfast at 0800 hrs you will meet your tour guide and the drivers will escort you to the waiting 4 wheel drive which you will board for a soft adventure tour.  Arrive at Nakhal and visit the Nakhal Fort. This fort once served the Imams of Bani Kharous and the Ya'arubah dynasty. After recent restoration work carried out, it is refurbished with the traditional furniture, handicrafts and historic relics.  The ceilings, the doors and the windows are decorated with beautiful carvings. The view from the roof-top is very impressive and offers a panoramic view of the surrounding landscape. The old village of Nakhal, which nestles below the fort, gradually leads to the famous warm springs of Nakhal situated at the end of an attractive Oasis. Relax by the side of the shallow waters of the springs surrounded by lush green date plantations and steep mountain peaks. After the visit proceed to Bilad Sait through the foot hills of Jabal Akdhar Mountain. Cross the mountain and arrive at Al Hamra and proceed to Jabal Shams 

Overnight at the Jabal shams camp site. ( basic camp with basic facilities).  They have 5 proper rooms with attached toilets and rest all rooms are with common toilet.  

Day 2   Nizwa – Ibra – Wadi Bani Khalid – Wahiba Sands

After breakfast you will explore the various villages scattered around on the mountain and proceed to Nizwa. 

You will drive to the Oasis city of Nizwa and then continue on a tour of the Nizwa fort with its enormous round tower built in the 17th century built by Imam Sultan Bin Saif Al Ya'aruba to defend the route to the interior. The fort dominates the entire area with the town having grown around the edifice. Access to the top is possible only by means of a narrow, twisting staircase barred by heavy wooden doors, studded with metal. From the top of the tower one can get a bird's eye view of the Nizwa city. From here you will proceed to the Nizwa Souq which is renowned for its intricately hand-carved Khanjar and ornately designed silver Jewelry. Here on a Friday a unique goat and cattle auction is held. The atmosphere here is electric.  Continue your drive to the Jabrin castle en-route to Nizwa. The castle, the finest of Oman's castles built in the late 17th Century, which became a seat of Omani learning .This castle has extremely well planned layouts with rooms for the wali, the ladies room, the kitchen, the majlis etc. Most of the ceilings are decorated with beautiful paintings with Islamic motifs. The view from the top of the castle is really mesmerizing. You will stop en-route at the Bahla Fort for a photograph of the fort which is listed under the UNESCO’s list of world heritage site.

Lunch at a local restaurant ( own expense)

After lunch proceed to Wahiba Sands which is the home of Bedouins.

The 'Wahiba Sands' often described as a perfect example of Sand Sea consists of large ranges of dunes running from North to South, some attaining a height of about 100 mts and orange in colour.  Our experienced drivers will take you on a dune bashing tour through the undulating sand dunes to experience the thrills of dune driving. Arrive at the pre arranged camp site for overnight.

Day 3   Wahiba Sands – Sur – Ras al Jinz

 After spending some time here proceed to Sur town .Proceed to Ras Al Jinz and check in at the pre arranged camp site, Dinner at the camp site.  After dinner around 22:00 hrs leave for the famous turtle beach to watch turtles laying their eggs and nesting.

Day 4  Ras al Jinz – Tiwi – Quriyat – Muscat

Break fast at the camp. Today’s tour along the coast line from Sur to Quriyat offer a breath taking glimpses of the blue waters of the gulf of Oman that offsets pristine white beaches.  Proceed to Wadi Shaab literally means “ravine between cliffs “shallow green pools and abundant shade give Wadi Shaab a perfect setting for a picnic.  Continue drive to Quriyat, a very large fishing village between lagoon and the sea.  The port of Quriyat is still guarded by a watchtower.  Arrive at Muscat.
